Falling off the Wagon

Yes it happens.  And when it happens, it starts off as no big deal.  Hey, I just missed a day.

Right?

Well then one day turns to 3, then to a week.

But now it is time to get back on track.

You don’t have to be perfect, you just have to keep going.  Keep trying to be better.

That is where I am today.

I had a great week of training last week.  I had a pretty good nutrition week.

I just go a little lazy.

I got a little complacent.  I was making good progress and didn’t focus as much on the tracking.

And guess what.  The progress stalled.  And back-slid a little.

But I still have a goal.  I still have something I want to accomplish and a deadline.

So in order to achieve that goal, I am getting back on the wagon.

It’s good to know that you are human and really struggle with the same issues we all do. I use to beat myself up so bad when I’d have a bad day, but now realize it only proves to make the next day better!

  2. We all have bad days/weeks! Even Trainers!!

I am sorry I have stopped posting with you Tony. Although, you haven’t posted much here in the last 15 days or so either… I track my nutrition daily on the My Fitness Pal app and honestly, its just to much to do it on here everyday too. My progress is stagnant. Unless I really drill down my diet (and really, i’m not going to live on tuna and egg whites) or pick up another day of working out, I’m probably not going to see much change. That being said, I am not unhappy with where I am at. Getting here is only half the battle though. One of the biggest challenges for anyone making a change/commitment to healthy living is the mainenance. So, operation “maintenance” is underway!!! If my schedule frees up, sure, i might throw in an extra workout here and there. But for now, I’m happy with how I look 14 months Postpartum and feel great!!
